Favorite Music types: Traditional Irish music, traditional Scottish music (especially bagpipes!), rock, some pop, Goth music, hard rock, metal, nu-metal, Industrial, some rap, rock-rap, folk music, bluegrass.
Favorite Bands: The Dreamside, Voltaire, The Cruxshadows, Android Lust, The Dresden Dolls, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Korn, System of a Down, NIN, Godsmack, Evanescence, Eminem, Lady Sovereign, Xibit, Tool, Yoko Kanno, The Pillows, Puffy AmiYumi, Armik, Steeleye Span, Sisters of Mercy, Tapping The Vein, Play, Hilary Duff, Christina Aguilera, Linkin Park, Ome Henk, Panjabi MC, Die Ärzte, Björk, Dead Can Dance, Sixpence None The Richer, Alan Parson's Project, JoJo, Danna Paola, Beastie Boys, B12, and Blue Oyster Cult. I'm sure there are some I've omitted.
Dislikes: Close-mindedness, bullies, close-hearted people, cruelty, crowds, tobacco (especially its smoke), government, apathy, pollution, and on a more practical front: anything with meat other than seafood, any of the televised karaoke shows like "American Idol," I hate "Survivor," "The Amazing Race," or any other of those other unreal "reality" shows. I dislike discussing or overhearing discussion of anything to do with the circulatory system or with needles, I hate needles especially... while Alex despises the Amish and others for refusing immunizations, I understand, since on a purely instinctual level I freak out over needles. My instincts take over when I see a needle heading my way. Seriously! The last shot I had to have took me half an hour to calm myself down enough for them to give it to me. The one before that, I almost had to be tied down. The poor nurse must've thought I was crazy. And yet, I wouldn't mind getting a "shot" with a hypospray (which I heard someone invented something similar... it still uses needles, but they're microscopic and numerous. You can't see them.) It's not the pain I dislike about needles, it's the thought of that long metal needle inside me and possibly breaking inside of my body. Okay, I have to stop thinking about this now.
LEAST Favorite Music types: Most Country Western, Gangsta rap, most modern rap, gospel, Christian rock, any metal or Industrial that is just way too loud and grindy (like Skinny Puppy's early work... though Lo likes it).
